QUICK INSTALLATION GUIDE FOR WR-AR2317
 
To configure WR-AR2317 router with the internet service providers like Virgin Media, NTL or any other ISP providing the internet services on the cable TV line follow
the below steps
1. Some Virgin Media, NTL, Cable Modem has USB cable so if your Modem has a Cable then Unplug it from the back of the Modem as this should no longer be used.
   
2. Unplug the Power cable from the back of the Virgin Media, NTL, Cable Modem while going through below setup.
   
3. Connect the Virgin Media, NTL, Cable Modem by Ethernet RJ45 Cable which came with your Modem to the WAN Port of the Router. Make sure it is connected to the WAN Port only. All the connections are shown in the below application diagrams.

4. If your Computer has Wireless WiFi Adapter, Disable it while doing these settings.
   
5. Connect the Computer/Laptop/PC to one of the LAN Ports marked 1 to 4 on the back of the router through an Ethernet RJ45 Cable (NOT INTO WAN PORT as that is for the Modem) All the connections are shown in the Above application diagrams.
   
6. Power on the Router if it is off. NOTE The Virgin Media, NTL, Cable Modem must still be Off.
   
7. Restart your computer.
   
8. Now open your web browser e-g Internet Explorer, in the address box where you type www.bbc.com instead type 192.168.1.1 then press enter key. This is the top bar not the search bar. See Below Image

9. You'll get a screen asking for Username and Password. See below Image 4.

The Username is admin and Password is admin also
(NOTE user name and Password both are case sensitive so it must be typed as lower case)

After entering the correct Username and Password click OK

10. You'll get Pluscom Router status page as shown below in image 5

Click on the Quick Setup from the Left Menus

12. On the follow up page select AP Router and click Next

13. Select Dynamic IP as WAN Connection Type and click Next

14. On the Wireless Setup page select Enable for Wireless Radio then select other options as per your requirements and click Next.

15. Click on Finish on the follow up screen

16. Switch off the Router by unplugging the power cable from the back.
   
17. Power on the Virgin Media, NTL, Cable Modem by plugging the power Cable to the back the modem.
   
18. Restart your computer.
   
19. Power on the router by plugging the power Cable to the back of the Router.
   
20. When the computer is switch on open the internet explorer or internet browser what-ever you may call it. In the TOP Address bar type www.bbc.com and it should be now working.
   
21. If you disable the Wireless LAN Adapter make sure you enable it.
